Lazarus > tell me, do people take you seriously? If so, why? Actually, I do, and especially here at SI. Even those who disagree with my opinion. Why? I spend a lot of time here both reading and writing and it's a real pleasure for someone like me, down here in darkest Africa, to be able to exchange views with others around the world, especially in North America. People have a great tendency to take things for granted and to become contemptuous of everything, almost blase. I try my best not to and also to treat everyone who I converse with with respect. As someone who has been on the internet for many years, I know it's all too easy to let the exchange descend into a bar-room brawl.
