Since you prefer to dismiss my points rather than address them, I am not sure that I can usefully respond. I will give it a go, though.... I dismissed them with rationale. You might note that you failed to even attempt to answer any of the questions that I posed in my earlier post. Not one.... Dismissive you say...you glibly make the comment: Although there is enough support for the WTO to continue working towards a true free trade regime, there is a lot of resistance in Europe.... and I responded.... Resistance in Europe. Do I need to remind you that the US has been found in violation of trade agreements on two occasions so far, has initiated tariffs on Canadian soft lumber, steel, and a variety of others. Do I need to point out that the US has increased farm subsidies by 65%?..and all you can point out is that Europe has a problem. That's dismissive with rationale. Would you care to explain to me what Jews did to Indonesians (and Malaysians) to elicit this kind of hostility? That isn't the right question. You well know that there is an opposing polarity of views on the Palestinian issue. Europe is more prone to view as baneful neoliberalism, which, in France, is sometimes called "Anglo- American economics", as such, whether Left or Right. This is so well- known, I wonder that you are bothering to argue about it. Argue the point? Ridiculous. What I argued was that phrasing of the issue attempts to conceal the actions that are occuring in the world. Do you think that if I respond that there is a clash of values between neo-conservatism and neo-liberalism that is progress? You read Le Monde [excellent point, in French no doubt]...well... I listened to the editor of Le Monde speak [so there] who said what's finally sunk in is that French and American values are different. Isn't that great progress, you quote an article in Le Monde, and I quote the editor of Le Monde and don't we feel superior. Sorry, not my game. From a different viewpoint. Would you care to explain to me what Jews did to Indonesians (and Malaysians) to elicit this kind of hostility? Even if you got the question phrased properly, what would make me believe that you would actually entertain any serious discussion on it? You would not discuss the particular points of view on this issue any more than you would of the instances that I mentioned on the part of US Foreign Policy. I can tell you your answer right now. The only answer that you will ever believe under any circumstance. Regardless of what Israel has done or will ever do. Paraphrasing....Those Indonesians (and Malaysians) are anti-semitic.
