Italian prime minister Berlusconi quoted an unnamed leader - later identified by his spokesman as Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi - who told him recently: "I will do whatever the Americans want because I saw what happened in Iraq and I was afraid."

Good. He knows we "have a little List" and he is on it.

In 1986 a Gaddafi ordered hit killed 2 American GI's while they were dancing at the La Belle Club on Haupt Strasse in West Berlin.
(Whenever I was in Berlin and not working, I hung out next door at the KBS Bar and at the Handl-eck and 20th Century Clubs, several blocks away.)

Shortly after that attack, but still in 1986, we bombed Gaddafi's home and other targets in Libya.

The Lockerbie bombing was 2 years later in 1988, followed by the Libyan bombing of a full French airliner.

I have a hard time seeing this concession by Gaddafi as a big win. That man needs to be saddammed.
