But she knows I got more than that original 1000 bucks I started with ROTF... I had a great day today.... but I only tell my wife about the marginally good days and the marginally bad days.... I used to try and get her involved but I found her chanting over and over... Are you sure you know what you are doing ? after I told her about a particularly nasty day ;o) and yes since I can't lie to her, now I just let her look at her RRSP statement and as long as it doesn't go down she doesn't bug me :o)

Happy Christmas everybody .... in case anyone else is out there refreshing quotes right now, and wondering why nothing is moving not even a moose pasture, it's because the market is closed, they shut er down at 1100 eastern .... what a mystifying twenty-five minutes though, until i got around to checking messages on a broker's site, duh 'Now I got a worried wife.' - lol ... you can't tell them about successes even, because it immediately clicks in their minds that hey, if you can win you can lose too .... once in early 2000 i made the mistake of crowing about a gain, hard to avoid as there comes over you a tendency to walk on air for a few hours following the good ones, and She did not even smile, much less share my glee, She just said alright then, where is that money?, show it to me .... clearly a euphemism for 'give it to me quick before you lose it back', Her palm being extended at the time .... best policy is don't ask, don't tell, and as always when confronted with Authority, try to Just Act Normal ... remembering that it is far easier to get forgiveness than permission ... So what did i miss? ..... not many moved much, which is normal for this time of year ... today was year-end for canuck listings, 26th for US listings, after this it is officially Winter, our time to make hay while the snow flies .... suf.to, dy.to, inm.v, ckg.v, these all look bouncey in recent days .... ano.u.to as well, printed 1.40 today .... swm.v seems to have made another new 52-week high .... hmm, well what's out there that is new and shiney? cm.to - are you looking at banks? ... i haven't followed them for years now, my last Bank Period was '95 to '98 ... time for them is when interest rates are falling and their bad loan stats begin to improve, yet the shares have not bounced much yet ...... they're more complex than they were years ago, though, used to be a fairly sure thing of a cycle Everybody drive careful and have a nice holiday, eh? ....... cheers
