ZARand has been the fasting appreciating currency on earth if it rises much more, we will see SAfrican mine shutdowns such are the perils of floating currencies the ultimate irony, if you ask me imagine the gold price goes up so much that the major gold producing nation sees a huge rise in its currency, rendering gold production as unprofitable even John Maynard Keynes would find extreme irony in shutdown SA gold mines but I doubt he ever had floating currencies in mind / jim
