Hi Elmat, I knew you'd notice;)

It was actually a shame, how the whole darn Bundestag twiddled thumbs for a whole d*n year and then in one long morning session (with all the coffers packed and ready, you know, the samsonite rollers next to their seats) they passed 15 (one five) new laws. When the whole spiel ended early Friday afternoon, you should see the crowds (the coffers going clonk clonk clonk down the steps) trying to catch the early flight out of Berlin.

Fact is, things started to move. Note that it's not Gerhard Schröder running the show any more, it's more like Angie Schröder or Gerhard Merkel - one could even talk about signs of a big-time, across-the-party-lines coalition. Let's hope not just for the best, but for "even better" in 2004.

Regards
