damn, that's insane. i thought Austin was bad at around $2.60. no wonder Texas real estate's cheap. how high can it go before we get an income tax. i'm surprised to see Austin prop taxes are significantly below those in Houston and San Antonio. you'd think they would have lower taxes in those armpits.
