Interesting that Bush would sign into law a bill that directly plans to destroy the NATO treaties we have supported for 54 years now.

It is completely consist with the belligerent unilateralism that Bush has demonstrated time after time. Kyoto, the ICC unsigning, the Iraq naked aggression, ABM treaty. Bush is a complete welcher. You have to back to the days when the U.S. government broke every treaty ever signed with a native American nation in order to find comparable period in American history of such consistent arrogance, betrayal and bellicosity.

I watched a video tonight title Mein Kampf. It is telling how Hitler spent much of the period from 1936-1940 shredding and/or disregarding treaties of every sort with all of his neighbors. The parallels to today are real. As is the overwhelming strength that Bush's message has within certain segments of the population. A dark, swarthy, foreign enemy is always a totalitarian's best friend.
