Larry, I think its a problem with the main Yahoo finance pages. I just tried and get an error, but I have no problem with My Yahoo custom pages. It's actually quicker now than during the week(less traffic on the weekends).

I was able to see 5 different pages on My yahoo with ports and charts. Log into your own personal My Yahoo page and see what happens. Also clear your history and the temp inet files. Restart your browser after that and see what happens.

it will be interesting to see if yahoo can ever charge for things such as the financial info, or mail, or messenger, etc. my guess is that they will have a hard time doing so, as people will just go elsewhere, rather than pay a fee, as much for the privacy and ease of use as for the cost savings...that's almost certainly the major reason for their site changes, as the easiest way to generate more revenue is to get more ad impressions

i played a few fantasy baseball leagues on yahoo this past year, and i noticed several people talking about another site which had started charging for fantasy baseball after having been free for several years...it appeared that a large number of people simply migrated to yahoo, since it is free....there's no way to tell how that other site has done, other than the fact that it still exists

most internet functions have many different providers and options, so i doubt there will ever be much pricing power for such things...time will tell
