Hi Karen, all I will say is the Iraqi's who are demonstrating in support of Saddam are not *decent fans*, they are either a) ignorant b)stupid or c)mad themselves.

The more subtler point I was making is we are not operating on a even moral playing field. And a *decent* American press should recognize this difference and not give support to those who would follow a genocidal madman.

The KKK, and other radically ignorant groups have many followers as well, but I doubt we would see the same sort of even moral playing field reporting at their demonstrations, as we are seeing in Iraq. They are not simply showing the blood in a headline or two in order to sell a few papers, they're given moral support to their cause in their descriptive focusing. "Saddam kept law and order" etc.

The mainstream press is attempting to help the Democrat nominee in next years election by casting doubt over the judgement of President Bush to engage in Iraq. It's shallow and sick in many ways, and as far as I am concerned very transparent.
