Just a prediction - the next partisan spat that will erupt on SI threads will be two contentions: 1. Libya would not have caved in without the Iraq invasion. OR 2. Iraq could have been contained like Libya with enough time, talks and pressure, since the actual WMD were only plans, or buried in the sand years ago. Both depend on assumptions, and the answer is unknowable. But I bet we see some fur fly along those lines. Good thing we are too moderate to argue. ;<)
