Oh, really? Come on, Dan Man, first of all, think of which party benefits most from the military industrial media complex. You think the DEMS are at the top of this game? You might wish to rethink this.

I am guessing you make that broad sweeping statement because it just feels right. Am I correct or is there some basis for that comment?

I hear about enron and yet Dems were getting enron money too. I never read on this post about the guy who made 18 million on selling his Global Crossing before it BKed. Who was that? Terry McAulliffe? (sp?)

I read lots of feel good stuff from you and American Spirit. A few others also. Seems you like to spout about things. I seem to remember lots of talk of Lady Bird Johnson owning munitions interest on a large scale as her husband increase the shooting and bombing 100 fold. Maybe that was bullshit then, maybe not. Your statement surely is bullshit now.

BTW DIMWIT it was Dwight D Eisenhower a Republican President that coined the phrase and warned of the "Military Industrial Complex".

PT,

You still trying to convert Danny Boy into a thinker? <vbg> Good luck. He's the epitome of the no-nothing syndrome. You know? The guy described in the famous Upton Sinclair quote:

"It's impossible to make a man understand something when his livelihood depends on him not understanding it."

Dan isn't interested in reality, your debating points or changing. His personality type is what used to be labeled reactionary. He is incapable of change, growth or learning. He's got his ideology, and he don't need no steenking truth.

I put him on "ignore" after repeated efforts to reason with him ended in utter frustration that he wouldn't admit to any facts that are contrary to his "religion". Whatever that might be. Claims to be a libertarian, but he's in love with an authoritarian like Dubya. Go figure.
