Sometimes it is difficult because newspapers never have it right. Never seen that once. People get an odd idea about law enforcement. TV does a lot of harm. The movies and TV always show cops chasing someone down and then with one grab they spin them against the wall, pull their arms back and handcuff them. That is why when a wild man, for whatever reason, is resisting, it looks so bad when it takes so much force to restrain them. It is always easy in the movies. Just like homeland security. Always taking hits. Literally hundreds of arrests are being made and information received that the public can't know. How is it smart to telegraph your position? That is what the press and some of the public would like. Put all your leads and evidence on TV, tell the targets you are looking for them and give them all the evidence you have. Let them know where you will be looking. ;^) I could go on and on. I was supposed to retire December 2001. Still a lot to do and I believe the "good guys" who just happen to be the USA are making great headway every day. There may be mistakes, but if you make an omelet, you have to break some eggs ;^) I just think people should be more aware that they are dealing with an incredibly real threat that is very media conscious and incredibly shrewd. It is easy to be unwittingly used by such people. It is too simplistic to speak of good and evil. Most people don't see the real evil until it is far too late. When they are personally touched by it. Unfortunately irresponsible politics have clouded some issues.
