I'm not contesting the fact that government accounting is a little suspect.

But every time someone says Clinton brought us surpluses they're just agreeing with President Bush and the Republican congress.

If you don't like government accounting, take it up with the Republicans who are running the place and reporting surpluses for 98-01.

And what's not controversial is that our fiscal health was drastically better under Clinton than it has been so far under Bush.

Bushies should never debate national debt/deficits. It's the single biggest failure of this administratuion to put our nation deper and deeper in hock. The 20% devaluation of the dollar proves that it's already having negative effects. We are 20% poorer as a whole under Bush. This will continue so long as the rich are rewarded and working people punished using deficit spending credit card tactics along with massive pork spending.
