And yes, I can see how adherence to such a belief, presents Israel with a problem. However, sorry, in no way is this the US's problem. If you want to make a moral argument that the US should support efforts that are likely to minimize human suffering, I'm willing, for the sake of this discussion, to stipulate that. But such a stipulation is a long way from saying that the US should provide a guarantee of Israel's continued existence. Simply because Zionism convinces a large portion of the diaspora to return to Palestine (And here I'm speaking in a geographical sense.), and the locals haven't welcomed them, doesn't place this country under any obligation to assist in the invasion.only viable option for Peace is to secure big chunk of territory and surround it by wall Well, since this is neither my, nor my country's problem, I haven't spent sufficient time reflecting on the subject to have any definitive opinion. However, I always get suspicious when I'm told something is "the only viable option". My characteristic reaction is believe I'm dealing with a less than nimble mind. Did it ever occur to you to even consider some alternatives to the simplistic? For example, how well have you examined the ummah concept? Are there Quranic arguments that would allow for the continued existence of Israel? From what little I've seen from reading a variety of Qur'an based arguments, it is the same as I've seen from Christian and Jewish based arguments - i.e. a skilled practitioner can support almost anything. And yes, I'm aware it's easy for me to talk. I'm not sitting in Tel Aviv. As usual, JMO lurqer
