those on your side of the political spectrum think those making 100K are grossly overpaid and should pay more taxes so those who choose to leech off the Gov't can receive more handouts. You're right, Kennedy and Kerry probably don't pay too much in taxes. They suck it all out of those who are willing to work. And since any 41 liberal dems in the Senate can prevent any legislation and the republicans are too timid to jam it down their throats, there's a stalemate and the country who all you bleeding heart liberals want to see helped continue to suck it down. Maybe it's time they went out to look for work elsewhere. There are a lot of jobs out there. Some think those jobs are beneath their stature. I don't feel my taxes should go to support their choice to remain jobless.

Lizzie, passive income has already been taxed at earned rates. My passive income was first earned and taxed at the highest rates allowed and that money being earned is being taxed again and again. That is the law, it is not fair to tax us to death on what we have earned, but our only other choice is to not invest it and lose value.

The vast majority of wealthy work and earn money. They are taxed at the highest rates and subsidize the tax rates for lower income earners.

Instead of making those that are more successful the enemy which is part of the political party process to garner votes, more attention should be paid by all taxpayers on how much is being spent, and advising our government to do a better job and that what they are doing is not an acceptable level of performance. People that believe in political parties become so biased that they ignore the facts so that they can support their party. Take a hard look at the candidates and tell me with a straight face that any single one is the best America has to offer, yet we read day after day how good each one is for some. They are all lightweights. The most qualified are not running so we end up with what we have...a mediocre group of men wanting to be President...

BTW, the wealthy folks I know are professionals and business people and they all EARN the money. This concept of it all being passive income is not true and is unrealistic.
