Baker's presidential feelers were DOA. Imagine the sparks from a Baker-Kucinich debate. Two angry, caustic men. I would pay to see that.

His resurrection is interesting when you consider that Barbara Bush and GWB blamed Baker for GHWB's defeat in 1992. Against Baker's desires, GHWB convinced him to give up his position as Secretary of State and run the floundering Bush campaign from the WH. Baker, uncharacteristically, made a bad situation worse.
