Nokia attempted to use its own chip in a CDMA handset and later recalled the entire model because of problems. Nokia was forced to use QCOM chips, which were sold not to Nokia directly but to a Chinese company working with Nokia (and also licensed by QCOM).

For those interested, here are some sample pictures from the SH505iS....a 2 megapixel CCD camera phone from Docomo. Sharp is generally considered to have the best camera phones on the market (probably because they make the CCD's).

The quality of the pics are definitely lower than the Exilim S20 that they use for comparison...but I am curious if people on the thread would find the pics good enough that they would save them permanently (and thus need greater storage).
