Jimmy Carter was a dreadful president (Panama and Iran are the two things I hold most against him), but his mother was top notch, and his wife, as well. I understand that he does a good job building houses.


I wish he'd stick to building houses. Jimmy Carter is an idiotarian par excellence. He loathes Israel and just loooves Yasser Arafat.

Abruptly abandoning Nicaragua to Danny Ortega led to a good deal of bloodshed in Central America over quite a few years. Jimmy was good at creating power vacuums which would quickly be filled by bastards much worse then the preceding ones.

Interesting that President Carter alone ended up being (sort of) the fall guy for his own FP misdeeds. I was always surprised how Prof. Zbigy managed to get off scot free. After all, Brzhezinsky was Jimmy's guru and chief foreign policy "architect", and yet, he was never seriously blamed for any of the results. He should be, imho.
