I don't see big time inflation without wages going up. Doesn't seem possible.

FWIW: I recall about 30 years ago that interest rates and inflation exploded. What was particularly interesting was that labour contracts in our company had been negotiated with vigour by both parties a year or two before with strikes threatened or occurring (can't remember if they actually went on strike). In any event, 18 months later the company just came up with a major voluntary wage raise in the middle of the contract without discussion or negotiation. Those were turbulent economic times. Looks like that kind of commotion is in the offing.
