As a "pro" you know that the national polls aren't relevant at this point.

So do Rove, Trippi and the other candidates. What motivates their actions are Dean's results in the primary states' campaigns.

I agree with both you and Trippi on one thing: it's still a long row to hoe. If Dean had the typical phalanx of consultants and handlers, he'd avoid getting too much exposure too soon. But he's more TR than Clinton. Whether that works or not we'll know in a couple months.

If Dean fails, there are any number of lessons that might emerge.

If he succeeds, the lesson will be that it works to elevate the discourse to complete paragraphs. The media and public will have learned to get above the traditional "gotcha" methods of taking sound-bites out of context.
