Nice to see that you made some money with Nissan. Like you I look at the car manufacturer and can't take the decision to invest in their stock.

The reason is that their activity is (too me) essentially cyclical. I can't forecast the cycles, so I try to avoid cyclical stocks. It's as simple as that.

I find Toyota interesting enough to own. Bought it about 10% lower. Unquestionably the best in the world at what they do. Put that up against Nissan - I haven't looked at Nissan.
