But what is the alternative...? Kings? Dictators? Rogues and/or Thugs? No, I don't have an alternative. My argument is always to recognize that politicians are politicians and the system is the system and not to deify one party and demonize the other because they're not that different. Way too much time and energy goes into trying to tick off wins for the good guys when there ain't no good guys, just "homers" and "the other side." Most us wonder where the real Statesmen and Stateswomen are? Statesmanship is a lost art. Or perhaps I should say a lost value.
