Great.

EBAY has a lot of great stuff available for these needs.

According to the anysoldier website, anysoldier.us

-- Especially needed in Iraq: Hatch Operator Gloves (A bit expensive ($33 - 45) They are needed for missions and for searching suspicious areas (holes, for example), real handcuffs with keys (no flexcuffs), hand and foot warmers.

Especially wanted: breakfast meals. They do not get these with MREs.

I sent an email to Marty Horn (the officer in charge of this great effort) asking if they needed some stuff not on their list. He said yes to the following items:

Small Binoculars (found quite a few on EBAY for little $$)
Water purification tablets
portable solar-powered battery chargers (he loved this one! They use mostly AA batteries in items.)

But,
nothing flammable (sterno cans, matches, lighters)
no ponchos
no compasses
no glow sticks
