Together they are the story of a fairly small group, many under the fanatic delusions of the pseudo philosopher Leo Strauss, and others with a quest for power and wealth. There is variation in motives, money, religion, heritage, nobles oblige, or just payback for past slights, but together they work for a new aristocracy based more on the robber-barrons of the gilded age than any hereditary line.
