Awwwww... Oliphant is offended to find himself named as part of the Washingon machine <vbg>

All these behind-the-Beltway punditocracy are threatened by anything that doesn't acknowledge them as THE key to the national debate. That's bad for the punditry biz.

It tickles me to see Dean dismiss an entire self-appointed power-structure that is truly irrelevant to what America is all about.

Oliphant's screeds are usually clever, but weak. It appears from this one that the Dean threat requires more than the usual quota of lies of omission and misconstruction.

This is only the beginning. Expect a crescendo of attacks from all sides over the coming months as voters fail to be impressed by personal attacks.

By being himself and refusing to kowtow, Dean is flushing out all the phony self-described lib/conserv punditocracy.

LOL! Who would have expected anyone to draw a contrast that put Oliphant on the same side of the debate as Karl Rove ?

I'm enjoying this immensely.

Of course, I enjoyed Perot's campaign too, until his family was threatened...

I expect this to get extremely vicious before it's all over.
