That was the argument against A&P in the '30s. They would come into a town, lower prices until they drove everybody else out, and then raise prices. The "raise prices" never happens. And in retail, the market is too big for one to control. Wal Mart is still just a small part of the total retail.

And you will notice what happened to A&P. Same thing that happened to Sears. They get fat and happy and decline.
