Back in my submarine days Muammar was having his day in the sun. We were with the group when he sent 2 of his fighters to attack a P-3 Orion for crossing his line of death. The were not able to shoot down this unarmed prop job. Next Med run we are with the group again and he sends his fighters out to shoot down F-14's. What a dumb ass. We were authorized to attack any war craft that came out after the group which was cruising 12 miles and 1' off his coast and well inside his line of death. We were broached (sail out of the water so any yahoo could see us) and just daring him to send out anything for us to shoot. Unfortunately he didn't:) Anyhow after President Reagan sent him a message with a little bomb in the bedroom he quieted down for a bit until Lockerbie. What the Demo's will never understand is there is only one thing people like this understand. Brute force. He is smart enough to understand that he can not declare war on the USS Nimitz much less the United States and once he is convinced, as he is now, that the US is willing to kick his ass he kicks into survival mode. Thank goodness for GWB.
