Al-Qaida may target both major cities, remote areas

azcentral.com

"Note that the claims of impending attacks are based almost entirely on intercepted radio communications. Clearly, the lesson of the fake radio messages that tricked the US into bombing Libya is lost on the current government.

But for a moment, let us stipulate that we are looking at a real terror attack as opposed to one of the endless Israeli deceptions and If such an attack happens now, with the elevated alert, all it will accomplish is prove to the world that the US security measures, costly and intrusive as they are, simply do not work. If a terror attack occurs now, it will prove that the suspension of the Constitution was NOT the answer! If a terror attack occurs now, it will prove that the restrictions and constraints placed on travelers doesn't work! If a terror attack occurs now, it will prove that the endless spying on US citizens is pointless! If a terror attack occurs now, it will prove that the US Government itself destroyed what America stands for far more thoroughly than the terrorists ever could have, and all for nothing.

Frankly, the government is in a damned if they do and damned if they don't trap of its own making. After the raising of the alert status and non-stop media hype of the danger we are in, to have nothing happens makes the government look like the little boys who cried Wolf(owitz) one too many times. If an attack does happen, it proves that all the new US security is a total waste of time and money.

Which bring us back to the sound wisdom that the fastest way to stop terrorism is to quit screwing around with other people's countries." - Michael Rivero
