universal well child exams Nice idea if you had an unlimited supply of Doctors and funds. The Doctors will tell you they see way too many kids for colds. End up giving them an antibiotic that gives them immunity to the antibiotic but makes the parents happy. It's easy to dream up all these wonderful things we could do for families if only we had the money. They almost never work out in practice. It's the "Commanding Heights" idea put to Medicine. You will run into it once in a while with a young person who sees nothing but waste in all these ads and duplicate stores. "Central Planning" will always appeal to people.
