sidney, the dems pushed for those machines after finding out in fla. they were to stupid to use a punch ballot. Now the Dems want to steal the elections through computer fraud.

Sidney, " Now you have me painted as pro-slavery because I think states should have power over the federal government just as the founding fathers intended" I was pointing out that state's rights caused all kinds of problems for many people in the U.S. and your blanket support was totally inappropriate. If our country rigidly stuck to the earliest traditions of our founding fathers, we would still have slavery and only a few property owners would be allowed to vote. What you don't understand (and never will) is that the founding fathers gave a way for later generations to change the constitution as the need arises. In the years that followed the founding of America certain moral issues, economic issues and defense issues arose in a world that became increasingly more complex and dangerous. The U.S. has changed and adapted accordingly. Of course, none of this really matters to you. Literally, the only reason you have given us in support for "state's rights" is because the founding fathers intended it that way. You haven't given us a single other reason why you think 'state rights' is right or necessary or good. Well, if this issue is really important to you and you believe our departure away from states right is a terrible thing why don't you use this opportunity to share your revelations with us. As always, I am sitting on the edge of my chair awaiting your response.
