I raised three kids in the 60s and 70s without any great degree of Medical attention. One broken bone among the three of them. My daughter broke her arm at age 8 on Thanksgiving.

My sister and I grew up in the 50's and 60's. Once I had my tonsils removed at age 3, I was very healthy. We only had german measles and never missed a day of elementary school. When I got to high school I started getting very bad menstrual cramps which were only relieved by the advent of Motrin (all hail Motrin! :-)) about 10 years later. I am still pretty healthy but my interests now are in anti-aging and alternative medicine approaches. My sister, on the only hand, has a number of health issues, including MS. I think a lot of her problems were triggered by too many years on Prednisone. It took a looong time to wean herself off it.

But I am resigned to the Federal Government taking over Medicine. They are doing it with a "Salami" approach. I hope by the time they have got total control of it that I am not using it anymore.

What's your take on the Medical Savings Accounts in the new Medicare bill?
