I visit them the way other folk go to museums.

Cool.

I get a kick out of dollar stores. I stop in every one I come across. The modern equivalent of John's Bargain Stores, which I used to adore when they were still around. There were five and dimes around here as recently as two years ago. Miss them. Miss hardware stores, too. When I was a kid, I could spend all day in the local stationery store. The new office supply stores don't compare.

I have done almost all my shopping on line for some time now. Now, that's still fun.

Just a quick comment about Wal-Mart.

The manager of our nearby Wal-Mart called me yesterday to say Wal-Mart was aware of the Special Forces Association's efforts to assist refugees and she had a $200 check payable to our Chapter ready for pick-up. This was completely unsolicited.

I went by this afternoon and got the check. Later, I received another call from higher in the chain of command and was invited to complete a form for a larger grant.
