But why not UNT instead of PTEN? UNT is about 50:50 drilling:production...so if gas drilling picks up due to high prices, UNT will WIN:WIN!

If you look at NBR, you will see that their operating margin for the same period was 12%. Net income was $127mm or $.87/share for the first 9 months. That is an annualized eps of $1.19 or, a p/e of 34.

PTEN's comparable numbers are $.57/sh annualized and a p/e of 57x.
