Durable goods - From Minyanville Durable goods orders fell 3.1%; the Bloomberg consensus was looking for a 1.0% gain. While there were some slight upward revisions this erases most of last month's 4.0% gain. This was an odd number in that 80% of the drop was accounted for by a plunge in communications equipment orders. Given that oddity, the 10-year has only gained a quarter of a point as traders try to figure out if the number is the beginning of a trend or an anamoly.
