I like "Johnsonian-Reaganomics" too.

Not bad, but over the heads of 90%+ of the electorate.

but just last week he explained he supports a strong dollar

Pretty amazing. At least he could have spinned a weak dollar as good, by pushing that it's increased US exports. The first positive economic indicator was increased export to Europe.

As a result, the current "Republican" governor of California "resolved" the state's deficit problem by cutting taxes and issuing billions in new debt.

That was a real toot. Increase debt by $5 Billion; and declare a fiscal emergency to cut $150 million. The Terminators math isn't very good. The other difference. Davis was just going to issue $10B of bonds on his own authority; the Terminator is taking $15B of bonds for voter approval. I think it would be hysterically funny if the voters didn't approve the bonds.

Along the notion of going after votes vs philosophy, Bush is going after the Hispanic vote by fooling with the immigration policy. He's got a real challenge weaving that through the conservative base.

One of these days I expect the GOP leadership to propose Spanish as the official government language. [They dropped the initiative for English as the official government language once they looked at the demographics.]
