Bill here is answer to my own question on L. 7:22AM Liberty Media for sale? -- WSJ (L) 11.39: The Wall St Journal's Heard on the Street section highlights Liberty Media as undervalued a potential acquisition target. Perhaps with an eye to an eventual sale, Chairman John Malone lately has taken steps to be more of an operator of businesses and less of a passive investor in other people's businesses. It recently boosted its stake in QVC and negotiated to take control of international cable-TV concern UnitedGlobalCom. As a result, analysts say the company's stock price doesn't reflect the value of Liberty's assets. Adding to the speculation about a possible deal, a host of Wall Street analysts last week published research reports arguing the stock is undervalued. Also, Malone has been doing some insider buying.
