From that letter: On September 11th you did not instruct your staff to issue a nationwide emergency warning/alert to advise us of the attack on America. We had to receive the news of the attacks via the news networks. I will NEVER forget that while Bush was incommunicado for whatever reasons, Tom Brokaw took that opportunity to declare war. It was disgusting, despicable and horrid that the president did not act like one but allowed a tv talking head to take command.
