My take on the close is that some big hedge fund or whatever bought a bunch os shares all day for a daytrade on the mad cow disease and fall in the US$ and just took the profits at the close.

Happy Holidays all

Joan

In thin trading its hard to tell what is going on but the big picture is extremely positive. GFI has a nice bull flag and HMY is building a strong base.

Maybe these stocks are signaling that the real bull move in gold is just beginning. Maybe the miners in South Africa will be able to make more that $6.00/month or whatever ridiculous pay they get. A huge transfer of wealth is coming imo and some peoples lives will be improved because of it.

So that makes for a good holiday wish:

Here's to all the miners in SA that they may have a better future for them and their families.

Happy Holidays All

M.
