OT

Your choice of abbreviations (MCD) is ironic, to say the least, given that stock's performance today.

Some other points:

It is spelled "meat."

I have read reports today that modern meat processing techniques result in a significant fraction of meat containing bits of spinal cord, etc. even when nominally removed.

A statistically small chance of getting as serious an affliction as that involved here may still be significant -- and that the chances were small will be no comfort to those affected.

Now you know of someone else who has no intention of eating beef until this is resolved.

Had it not been for the greed of the industry and the willingness of the current Congress to bow to the wishes of corporate special interests, the impact of this incident would have been much less. I certainly hope Congress is less sympathetic when the industry comes crying for a bailout from the result of its greed (which, I predict, won't take long).

JMHO.

Amy,
why worry?

The sick cow was slaughtered December 9 and several places received the meat December 11. The meat's long gone.

Go ahead and eat another juicy steak before California falls off into the ocean. I hear the odds are California sinks first.
