Marky Mark's point doesn't work quite the way he wants it to. As is usual with our current crop of DLPs, he wants to blame long term trends dating back decades on GWB who has been in office less than 3 years.

Here's GDP. It's about doubled since 1985.

It's quadrupled since 1985. Was GWB in office while all that happened? I don't think so. Was Slick in office for 8 of those years? You bet.

Now I hold that a Prexy has a whole lot less to do with the economy than they and many people wish to believe. But if they wish to make a partisan hatchet of the economy, they have only themselves to blame if they are bloodied.
