Please don't use "reply" to my posts for your non-specific postings. They are more appropriately posted to the board, unless there is specific relevance. Thanx

I think it would be a big mistake for Condi or any other Presidential adviser to have to testify PUBLICLY on nearly anything and certainly on A NATIONAL SECURITY MATTER. As to being under oath or not, doesnt bother me as I would expect them to tell the truth whether they are under oath or not. I suspect the REAL reason Condi doesnt want to go before that commission is twofold:
1. Govt. is very TURF oriented and I believe she wouldnt want to start a precedent as Presidential advisers are normally immune from Congressional testimony.
2. It may be believed that this is some kind of witch hunt with a search for a FALL GUY.

Since EVERYONE agrees the 9/11 attack was planned for YEARS I think it PREPOSTOROUS to even think that anyone in the Bush administration had anything to do with it and most likely only had rudimentary knowledge of the danger. If you all recall, the DEMOCRATS made George Bush's life a living hell as he was trying to find good advisors and it took him something like a year to fill the posts, so most likely his mind was on many things. jdn
