All completely irrelevant -- the fact is and was that Germany had industrial capability unmatched in all of the world -- more than France, more than England, more than the USA and more than Russia. Germany was an industrial superpower that had brought itself to the brink of ruin in WWI and its aftermath -- but nothing changes the fact that Germany had the industrial capability if it chose to mobilize it. Hitler harnessed that capability for war and had enough industrial capability to take on half the world and came very close indeed to winning. When we fought Germany we were not fighting some broken down third world country. Germany was a country hell bent on exerting itself as the world's dominant superpower -- a role that Bush is hell bent on exercising for the US today. Much of our own space program and advances in science came from transferring German scientific and industrial capability to America. Your comparison between Germany and Iraq is as bogus as a three dollar bill.
