The controversy over "money in politics" and gerrymandering are just dodges for the failure of our public to come to terms with the REAL NEED: Abolishing the possibility of citizens making a lifetime career of Congressional elected office. It is an accepted standard that "safe seat" House and Senate members become employees of the bureaus they appropriate money for. The need is for OUR representatives to look these over-regulating pigs in the eye and say, "THIS is all you get. Misuse it and we will WIPE YOU OUT next year."

Just the sight, in the media, of the endless parade of senile Democrat Senators (Robert Byrd and Ted Kennedy. Smilin' Joe Biden: American HEROS?!?) sucking their thumbs and filibustering issues when they can't win the argument should be enough to make term limits a national passion...
