SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 2003--OpenTV (NASDAQ:OPTV - News; Euronext Amsterdam:OPTV), one of the world's leading interactive television companies, today announced that interactive television services via OpenTV's Wink platform are now available to over 1 million Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR - News) digital cable households.
The additional deployments of three Charter cable systems representing approximately 220,000 HH's (St. Louis, MO; Greenville-Spartanburg, SC; and Clarksville, TN) has pushed OpenTV's Charter customer count from 870,000, to over 1 million households as of December 17.

OpenTV also enhances both television programs and commercials on several programming networks that run on Charter Communications. Twenty of the twenty-three systems that have launched OpenTV interactive services to date are using Scientific Atlanta set-top boxes, while three systems are using Motorola DCT-2000 set-top box systems.

"We're pleased to see Charter roll out interactivity in additional markets," said James Ackerman, CEO, OpenTV. "OpenTV looks forward to continuing to support Charter's interactive deployments with compelling iTV services."

OPTV - 2.67 ask - will not move until after new year
Some in early may take profits out of fear and those in higher the past few months may take write-off.
Buyers and news will return. 3.75 area a sound target by 1/14 - delayed, but coming.
Have a great holiday/New Year
