Now you've reminded me of a fond memory Murrey. My dad got
me into the numismatic realm when I was a child. I still
have a lot of the coins we plucked from the thousands of
rolls we exchanged at the bank week after week. I have
even more fond memories of our time together.

Howdy Murrey! I use collect coins growing up. My Dad was a banker and would bring home bags of pennies for me to go through. I have such fond memories of evening family time, sitting in our small little den with my Mom and Dad, emptying piles of pennies and going through them as a small kid, yelling out when I'd get a new year or mint.

I use to collect pennies, dimes, and nickels. All worn and used, though. Just use to try to get all the years and mints I could, ya know.

I later collected some very nice gold coins, a couple of which are Indian Head golds worth quite a bit as far as gold coins go.

Got a 1909 VDB but no S-VDB. I have a few rare Indian Head pennies. I forget exactly which ones and I don't have my list with me to check.

Glad you had a great holiday with the family!
