Funny. I remember Europe being the prime focus of that discussion. You were attempting to prove the superiority of socialism. You remember wrong. You also recalled that under the ABM treaty the Soviets were allowed to build two ABM systems and the US none. Speaking of Europe (and unrelated to the previous discussion), it now appears that the Death Planet (Mars) has claimed another one. Still no word from Beagle, the UK/ESA mission to Mars. Most unfortunate. A bummer. Would have liked to found water in them thar craters. jttmab
