kenny, the personal income of Americans has been increasing for the last several months. If some are taking pay cuts then the fact they were being overpaid is being recognized and corrected. That is consistent with pay commensurate with the value of the work produced. And kenny I've not mentioned a booming economic recovery. I'm just in stitches over the moaning and groaning and doom and gloom predicted by several idiots including you on this thread.

It's the technology stupid. All that that stuff you don't have a clue about. High speed internet access goes to better than 1 in 5 today and it's growing. That means 1 in 5 have access to the truth and not the drivel of networks and the ny times. Scary isn't it. ROTFLOL.....

There's no way for the US citizenry to avoid such reductions in vitality, when the country gets yet another Bush and a $10 Trillion bloodletting.

And, gee, it's all such a surprise! Today's IBD says durable goods were supposed to increase 1% and instead declined 3.1%. 80% of Americans in the workforce already know there's something rotten in the rosy gov't numbers, but not hypnotized followers of the laughing jackals in Washington.

More from Friday's IBD:

" Capital goods, one of the best indicators of capital spending fell 5.9%, excluding defense and aircraft orders...Information tech orders plunged 10.8%, the biggest drop since July 2000"

Then you get the usual Pollyana GOP shill: "Business investment is definitely on an upturn, but this report sort of moderates people's expectations...", said Stuart Hoffman at PNC Financial Services Group. That, of course is the idea. Moderate expectations, move the money upwards, tax the poor bas*ds who work, fight and die for this country, and keep it offshore.

They keep trying -- "Any disappointment was offset by Labor Dept data showing new jobless filings fell to 353,000 last week, down 1,000 from the prior week". Tell that to the unemployed who no longer are on the rolls, I'm sure that'll make them feel better.

So, they try to average the past two months' defense push, and you can bet next quarter we'll see another $1 trillion in expenditures proposed by Bush the Impaler to make blood money run in the streets, where everyone can see and say, "oh, I guess we're fine now", filling out their BK forms and Walmart applications, smiling at each other with rotten teeth they can't get fixed, suffering diseases they can't afford, and for which Walmart will send them.... back to the loving arms of a corrupt gov't.

The idea in the minds of the Washington elite is if the American citizen is made hungry enough and sufficiently beaten with real and phony terror scares, they'll be docile, will work cheap alongside illegal immigrants, unable to afford college, sending their kids to the "volunteer" military to be indoctrinated, fed, housed, and killed in un-American profit wars that Smedly Butler and Dwight Eisenhower warned against.
