Terry, the Polish, Bulgarians, and Thais will learn that when they barge into someone's home, even one that is full of domestic strife, they can expect and will be hit.

At some point, the domestic electorates of those countries involved in Mesopotamia, whose kids are doing the dying in faraway land and whose automobile class are sipping on ever more expensive oil will see less and less point in the whole exercise, just as the Atkins diet rubbished the theory of limiting one's intake of eggs.

The peculiar thing about wars is that they are energizing, but only for a limited time, and then they get tiresome, for a long time, just like not able to have eggs for breakfast, or worse, having to make do with egg-beaters.
