Raymond I mentioned this in an earlier post. My b-in-law is in Iraq helping to rebuild. He has more than 500 Irqis working on projects he's initiated. This was done without U.S. involvement. He's a successful entrepreneur who has morphed through many different 'vocations' His latest being a film making degree at USC. So he was in Iraq during the war working on a documentary. He returned after the so called war to see the devastation. Feeling somewhat aghast at the 'mess' the Americans seemingly left behind and frustrated with the lack of forward movement in cleaning up this 'mess' he decided to do it himself, so to speak. So along with his own money and donations that is exactly what he is doing. He told my wife that recently there were signs posted all over Baghdad saying how foreigners should not venture out into the streets of Baghdad because of insurgent threats stating death to infidels etc. He said he ventured forth into the streets regardless feeling those 'threats' to be unsubstantiated. He said there were no foreigners out that day and there was as he thought nothing to fear. He has been living in Baghdad. Here's a web site where you can check up on progress being made. He hasn't posted in a while since he's back in the U.S. over the holiday season. My wife and kids flew to Atlanta to spend some time with him and family. Me... I'm enjoying the time alone. I am mostly a house husband with a 10 year old boy and 7 year old girl. If anyone on this thread is interested in donating money to his foundation by all means do so. I am very impressed by his actions.
